In this post, I share the absolute best night routine for going to sleep relaxed and ready for the next day!
By: Anagha S.
In an earlier blog post, I talked about the ultimate morning routine for productivity. But of course, your night routine is just as important as your morning routine.
I find that whenever I have a calming and relaxing night routine, I fall asleep quicker, have uninterrupted rest, and overall feel really good the next morning!
That’s why in this blog post, I’m sharing my ideal night routine! If you like these types of blog posts, be sure to subscribe to Ana Health Avenue and follow us on Pinterest!
Let’s get into it.
Put Away the Devices
This is sooo important. I try to not look at my phone at least 1 hour before I go to bed. It can be really easy to get caught up with what’s happening in the digital world.
However, I think that limiting your screen time at night will help you fall asleep faster and have a better rest!
Get Into Your Jammies
My favorite step 🙂
To truly set the mood, change into your pajamas to set the vibes.
Stretch/Yoga
It’s super important to stretch before bedtime: it can relax your muscles and relieve tension from the day.
Also, if you want to relax your mind, play some frequency music and do yoga!!! It’s still stretching your body and can count as a workout 😉
Get Water For The Next Day
Bring a cup of water and keep it next to your bed for the morning. Healthwise, it’s really good to drink a cup of water when you first wake up to cleanse your system!
Skincare/Beauty Routine
This is when you would do your beauty routine. It’s crucial that you include self-care into your everyday life. This can be through your skincare routine, or even just having a night routine!
If you don’t have a skincare routine yet, check out this blog post I wrote.
Look Over Your Plans For The Next Day
Once you’ve truly winded down and are ready for bed, look in your planner and see what you have to do tomorrow.
If you don’t have a plan for the next day, I highly recommend coming up with one before you go to bed: I personally feel a lot better and less anxious knowing what I have to do the next day.
Set Your Alarm
This might seem like an obvious step. For most people with jobs, school or other priorities, setting an alarm is a constant.
Be sure to get a solid 7-9 hours of sleep a night; your body needs it!
Journal
This is such an important step. It’s crucial to reflect on your day(what went great and what could’ve gone better). Journaling or making gratitude lists really teaches you to see the beauty in life.
But, if you’re more into manifesting, then that’s what you can do at this part of the routine.
Go To Sleep!!!
This is the last and final step: SLEEP!!! Hopefully, this night routine would’ve gotten you relaxed and ready to fall asleep!
And that’s a wrap! Thank you so much for reading this blog post, and I hope you enjoyed it!!
