Will the Kylie Skin walnut face scrub help or harm your skin?!
By: Anagha S.
Even though Kylie Jenner(you know, reality television star, makeup mogul, and overall A-list celebrity) launched Kylie Skin on May 22nd, 2019, it’s never too late for a review…plus Ana Health Avenue wasn’t around then.
Specifically, I’m talking about one product from the Kylie Skin line, one of it’s most acclaimed products, the Walnut Face Scrub!
I’m giving you my unfiltered and honest review about one of the most controversial skincare products out on the market, so buckle up!

Let’s get started!
A Lil’ Summary
As I mentioned above, Kylie Jenner launched her skincare brand in May of 2019. Since then, Kylie Skin has amassed millions of followers on Instagram, as well as many loyal fans.
However, it has also garnered some harsh critics, who claim the brand to sell mediocre products for high prices.
I myself will be reviewing the walnut face scrub based on the ingredient list, not on my personal opinion of Kylie Jenner.
The Infamous Walnut Fact Scrub
Retailing for $22 dollars, the scrub comes in the classic Kylie Skin packaging. This product was a part of the inaugral launch, and it’s still the most controversial product from the brand.
A direct quote from the website: “Our gentle yet effective face scrub is packed with a cocktail of anti-inflammatory ingredients and skin-smoothing fruit extracts that buff away dead skin cells to reveal a soft, radiant complexion.”
While that sounds really nice, does that mean the product is actually good? Let’s find out!
So…is this product worth it?!
I’m saying this right now: I don’t hate this product. In fact, for a scrub, I think it’s pretty good! The walnut pieces in the scrub are scientifically proven not to cause any irritation or sensitivity(results of RIPT testing on the Kylie Skin website), and with key ingredients like squalane, glycerin, ginseng extract, and sodium hyaluronate, this product seems to offer exfoliating and rejuvinating benefits. Plus, it’s fragrance free, cruelty free and vegan, which is something I can’t say for all skincare brands.
As long as you’re using this product only once a week(and not more than that) very gently, this could provide some serious benefits for your skin.
I know people wanted to hate on this the way the apricot scrub from St. Ives is hated on, but I don’t think there’s any reason to other than the fact they don’t like Kylie Jenner.
And, honestly, I’d rather hate a product for its ingredient list, not its creator.
