Is your birthday upcoming? The day I’m writing this is actually my birthday(May 16th)!!!!
Thus, I was inspired to share the absolute cutest birthday makeup look that you’ll receive endless compliments for!

Primer
This is such an important step! Primer makes sure the makeup stays all day long and makes your skin look fab!
Apply with your fingertips to desired area!
PRO TIP: if you don’t want to wear makeup one day but still want your skin to look good, apply primer for that “I woke up like this” look 🙂
Foundation
If you’re having a birthday party/get-together, foundation is a great idea! If foundation is too heavy for you, I suggest going with a CC cream for a more natural look.
Apply with a sponge or brush to your face(make sure to go down to your neck)!
Concealer
Concealer is great for covering up any last minute blemishes or dark circles: depending on your skin type and makeup preference, you can choose a matte, natural or dewy concealer!
Apply to your problem areas(under eyes, blemishes, etc.).
Contour
Contour is great for defining your features(jawline, cheekbones, nose) or minimizing them. There are different types of contour from cream to powder.
Apply to the hollows of your cheeks, jawline, bridge of your nose and forehead!
PRO TIP: you can use foundation or concealer in a darker shade as contour!
Powder
Powder is such an important step, especially if you have oily skin. It can ensure that your makeup stays on for as long as you want it and can provide a matte finish!
Apply to oiler areas(forehead, nose, chin).
Blush
Don’t we all wanna be blushing on our birthday? Blush can bring life back to your face after applying foundation and concealer.
Apply to apples of your cheeks/cheekbones(this makes your face more lifted; application of blush is sooooo important)!
Brows
In my opinion, the brows define the face! When you’re having a good brow day, it can mean a good makeup day. You can use powder or pomade!
Apply to your brows(fill and define)!
WHAT’S UP: softer, more natural brows are the trend right now!
Eyeshadow
My favorite makeup step!!! I recommend going full force with the eyeshadow…that’s right, glitter time!!
If you’re not a fan of glitter, you can still do a bomb look with matte eyeshadow: just experiment!
Apply eyeshadow to the center of your lid as well as the crease for extra definition!
PRO TIP: apply a glitter/shiny eyeshadow to the corner of your eye and your brow bone, it makes your eyes stand out more!
Eyeliner
Your birthday is the perfect time to pull out that winged eyeliner look!
Start from the middle of your lash line and go inwards towards the corner of your eye; then go back to the starting point and draw dots to map out your wing; then connect the dots!
Mascara/Lashes
This is such an important step: what’s the point of having killer eyeshadow without killer lashes to back them up?
Curl your lashes then apply 1-2 coats of your mascara!
Lips
Last but definitely not least…lips! This is the final step, and for a sweet birthday makeup look, I recommend going with a glossy pink look!
Apply a pinky lip liner to the outline of your lips, then fill in your lips with a matching pink lipstick. Last, apply a pink or clear gloss to spice it up 🙂
Highlight
This is the final step!!!!! Go off with the highlight and I recommend matching your higlight to the color of your eyeshadow/lipstick. So, for this look I recommend going with a pinky/silvery highlight!
Apply to your cheekbones, tip of your nose, bridge of your nose, and Cupid’s bow.
And that’s a wrap! If you enjoyed this blog post, let me know in the comments below!
