The Best Skincare Routine For Dry Skin:
1. Micellar Water
This first step is especially for my friends who wear makeup and/or sunscreen during the day. Micellar water is a great way to remove product buildup, sweat, and dirt from the day.
Plus, with the right type of micellar water, your skin won’t be dried out! I personally love the Bioderma micellar water which I use with reusable cotton pads!
The perfect product to remove makeup:
2. Hydrating Cleanser
This next step is an essential: a hydrating cleanser is the second part of the double cleansing system. It’s useful because it not only finishes off the job of cleansing your face, but it also nourishes your skin at the same time! If you struggle with not only dry skin but also inflammation, this skincare step is for you.
I absolutely love this Aveeno cleanser formulated with oats to hydrate my skin!
An amazing hydrating cleanser:
3. Hydrating Serum
I believe every good skincare routine has at least one product that targets your main skincare concern. So, if your main skincare concern that you want to target is skin dryness, a hydrating serum is the way to go.
This serum by Neutrogena is not only formulated with hyaluronic acid to hydrate your skin but also with niacinamide to prevent skin dullness!
A great serum to apply for hydration:
4. Eye Cream
This skincare step is especially for my people with dry under eyes. The under eye area is made up of thinner skin than the rest of your face, making it more sensitive and more prone to dryness. Incorporating an eye cream into your skincare routine can make all the difference by providing that extra punch of hydration!
I absolutely love The Inkey List as a brand, and their eye cream is super affordable!
5. Moisturizer
Moisturizer is probably the most important step in a skincare routine for dry skin. If you’re going to invest in a product if you have dry skin, make it your moisturizer. It’s one of the best products to invest in because you apply it morning and night, as well as keeping it on rather than washing it off like other products.
Honest Beauty has a great moisturizer formulated with many hydrating ingredients such as hyaluronic acid to keep your skin moisturized!
6. Lip BalmÂ
Your lips are a part of your skin, but they’re actually thinner and more sensitive than the rest of your face. Therefore, they need something like a good lip balm to keep them healthy and moisturized!
This might be basic, but in my humble opinion, you can never go wrong with Vaseline (specifically their lip therapy balm)!
The best lip product ever:
7. Hydrating Mist
Last but not least, if you find your skin feeling dry throughout the day (especially in the fall/winter), a hydrating mist is just for you! While this definitely does not replace a good-quality moisturizer, using a hydrating mist whenever your skin feels dry is a great way to maintain moisture!
A great hydrating mist to spritz throughout the day:
