Top Tips To Improve Physical Health:
1. Drink More Water!
I feel like we all know we need to do this but, if you’re anything like me, you forget to :’)
Use this as your personal reminder to start drinking more water everyday! I would say if you’re starting from ground zero, then try to increase your water intake to about 6 cups a day.
Ideally, you’ll be able to end up having 8 cups of water a day (spread out over the course of the whole day)!
2. Eat Healthier
Before I go more into depth, I want to preface this tip by saying that in no way, shape, or form do I think you have to eat healthily 100% of the time: I don’t think there’s anyone who does that. However, I think that everything has to be done in moderation. That applies to basically everything in life (even drinking water)! Too much of anything is bad for you, including eating unhealthy foods.
That’s why I recommend figuring out an eating plan that works for you, one that is mostly healthy but still allows for you to have the unhealthy food if you want to! You are not defined by the food you eat, and at the end of the day, food is just a source of fuel. It’s so much more than a tool to achieve a certain look for your body.
Incorporating healthy food into your diet improves your physical health by giving your body the essential nutrients it needs but can also make you feel better in your body. You just have to start the journey.

3. Move Your Body
Like I mentioned with my previous tip, moving your body and getting exercise is about so much more than achieving a certain “body goal”. It can help increase strength, endurance, stamina, confidence, clarity, and more.
And I don’t think you have to do hardcore exercise to reap all the benefits of physical activity: even doing yoga or going on daily walks are great ways to move your body.
Lastly, when it comes to exercise, be careful not to push yourself too much: you don’t want to burn yourself out or injure yourself!
4. Have A Good Skincare Routine
While this may not seem like a health-related tip, it actually is. Your skin is the largest organ you have, and it serves as a barrier to protect your internal organs from outside, harmful substances.
And with our exposure to dangerous UV rays increasing, it’s important now more than ever before to properly take care of your skin. At the bare minimum, I recommend a solid cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen for your routine!

5. Get Consistent Sleep
I absolutely love sleeping. When I was a little kid, I used to get 11 hours of sleep a night and I was living my absolute best life (shoutout to my mom for making sure I went to bed lol).
While you probably don’t need to be getting that much of sleep, consistently getting good sleep is a gamechanger for your physical health.
At minimum, I’d recommend 6 hours of sleep a night, but ideally 7-8 hours would be best! Your body needs that essential time sleeping to recharge 🙂
6. Take Care Of Your Mental Health
While this isn’t necessarily a tip about your physical health, taking care of your mental health has a positive impact on your physical health!
Improving your mental health can help improve clarity, regulate bodily functions, decrease headaches, and more: all physical-related things which are negatively affected by mental health issues.
7. Get Your Yearly Physical
At the end of the day, if you feel there is anything wrong with your body or health, don’t be afraid to reach out to your doctor and have things checked out. Your concerns are valid, and never be afraid of voicing them (easier said than done I know, but you can do it)!
And even if you don’t feel like there’s anything wrong, be sure to attend your yearly physical with your doctor: they’re super important for maintaining your health!
