Dear reader,
Another year, another birthday blog post for The Anagha Edit! I’m a couple of days early, but I’m about to move into my new apartment, so I wanted to get this post up before life got super crazy.
I can’t believe it’s been 5 whole years since I started my brand. 5 years ago, I was in a completely different place than I am today. I was lost, sad, and frustrated, looking for an outlet for everything that I was feeling. Now, my days are usually dominated by (mostly) positive feelings, a reality that I never thought would come. As I’m entering sophomore year of college, I can’t help but reflect on this past year.
It was definitely a learning curve, to say the least.
I became even more set in my plans of pursuing medicine and took steps to further my career. I made some amazing new friends who I know are going to be in my life for a long time. I finally started posting on Instagram, and it’s been a year since I made that leap. Overall, I’m content with the way the last year went, but as always, there’s room to grow!
I made my new vision board for the upcoming year (yes, I vision board in August), one of the quotes I put in the center was, “You owe it to yourself to become everything you’ve ever dreamed of being”. This really stuck with me, and I’ve decided to keep this saying in mind every time I doubt myself. While I’m endlessly grateful for the version of me years ago who started The Anagha Edit, I know now I’m ready to turn it into something life changing. This year, I want to turn my brand into what I’ve always dreamed of it becoming: a safe, interactive community! Through all my platforms, I hope to check back next year and report that I finally did the thing. 🙂
Now, how do I actually implement all of this? By doing the things I know I need to do but am too scared to. This includes things like actually posting consistently and showing my personality! I want to apply the discipline I have for my academics to The Anagha Edit, because motivation goes, but discipline is there forever.
Lastly, before I sign off, I’d like to say the biggest thank you for reading! This platform has truly changed my life, and I wouldn’t be who I am today without it. It allows me to explore facets of myself I didn’t even know I had, and I can’t wait to bring more content and connection this year for you. I love you guys! <3 Until the next time…
Xx,
Anagha
