Looking for an everyday easy makeup routine? This blog post is the ultimate guide for lazy makeup.
While it may be super fun to do your makeup for special events, when it comes to daily life, most of us just want a simple routine to get us out of the door on time. In the morning, I love having a simple and easy makeup routine which doesn’t take too much time and effort when I have little to no energy in the morning.
That’s why in this blog post, I’m sharing the perfect easy makeup routine for all you peeps out there who want a simple routine that still ends up looking amazing!
After this post, you’ll be ready to create the perfect easy makeup routine of your dreams.

Easy Makeup Routine:
1. Moisturizer
While this may strike you as a skincare step, having a good moisturizer that doesn’t pill under makeup can really help it stay all day!
Plus, a good moisturizer makes your skin glow, which cancels out the need for foundation!
2. Concealer
Imma be honest here: the easiest makeup routine will often not include foundation: it takes so much time and effort to lay that initial base before continuing on to any other makeup step.
That’s why I recommend just spot concealing your problem areas to still give your skin that even effect.
Places to Spot Conceal:
- under the eyes
- around the mouth
- around the nose
- wherever there’s hyperpigmentation/problem areas
3. Powder
I love powder so much it’s unreal (if you’re like me and have acne prone/oily skin and live in a hot/humid climate, you get it lol). Powder can help preserve the hard work you’re putting into your makeup, so I highly recommend adding this onto your easy makeup routine.
However, not all powders are the same: depending on your skin type, you can use different types of powder.
Best Powder(s) For Your Skin:
- Oily Skin: Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Pressed Face Powder Makeup
- Dull Skin: Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder
- Sun Protection: Tarte Mineral Sunscreen Powder SPF 30
4. Blush
While blush may not be the first product that comes to mind when you think of an easy makeup routine, I’m gonna be blush’s advocate right now and convince you of how important blush can be even in a more minimalist makeup routine.
When you put face makeup products on, your face loses dimension and life. Blush is the perfect product to revive your skin and bring some radiance back! Whether you use powder or liquid or even cream blush, it can help uplevel your makeup routine!
5. Brows
If you have more full brows, you can get away with just using clear brow gel to shape your brows (or moisturizer if you’re not in the mood lol). However, if you want to fill in your brows with pigment, I’d recommend using a tinted brow gel to give them extra color!
6. Mascara
Mascara is literally the easiest makeup step ever. I feel like even if a person doesn’t wear makeup religiously, they’ll always make sure to apply mascara before heading out the door!
7. Lips
Last but definitely not least, the lips! For this routine, I’d skip the lip liner in favor of dabbing your lips with liquid lipstick then blending it in! It’s easy and gives your lips even coverage.
