Looking for the perfect drugstore skincare routine? Then keep reading!
There are so many good skincare products out there, and many of them can be found at your local drugstore (everything in this post is found on Target…bless)! I absolutely love finding the best products for you guys and sharing everything you need to know about them.
And that’s what I’m doing today. In this blog post, I’m sharing the best drugstore skincare routine for all skin types that I think you’re gonna love. There is not a single product in this post that is over $20, and I have multiple product recommendations for different skin issues like acne.
After this blog post, you’ll be ready to save money on your skincare routine but still get that clear skin! If that sounds like something you’d want to check out more, be sure to follow me on Pinterest and subscribe to The Anagha Edit!
The Best Drugstore Skincare Routine:
1. Bioderma Micellar Water ($12.99)
If you wear makeup and/or sunscreen during the day, a micellar water is essential for taking it all off. In my opinion, all micellar waters are more or less the same, so this affordable one by Bioderma is great for removing the day’s grime without stripping your skin!
2. Honest Beauty Face Mask ($19.99)
If you’re looking for a high-quality mask on a budget, this product is for you. A face mask can be great for giving your skin a lil’ extra TLC throughout the week, and this clarifying mask by Honest Beauty also soothes your skin with glycerin!
3. Aveeno Gentle Cleanser ($10.69)
If you’re a fan of the double-cleanse method, consider using this Aveeno cleanser as your second step. This cleanser is incredibly good at soothing inflamed skin (speaking from personal experience) because it’s formulated with ingredients like oat!
Especially if you have normal leaning dry skin, this cleanser may be perfect for you (plus it’s affordable)!!
4. PanOxyl Face Wash ($9.79)
If you struggle with acne and breakouts, definitely give this product a try. My friend swears by this product for clearing up your acne!
But in order to do that, you can’t just wash it off within 20 seconds. I’d recommend applying it then leaving it to sit on your skin for 1-2 minutes; that way the active ingredient in the product (benzoyl peroxide) actually has time to work its magic! Many people even do this step in the shower since it’s a bit more convenient that way.
5. Hero Cosmetics Prebiotic Moisturizer ($12.99)
This moisturizer is a personal favorite of mine. It’s pretty much the only acne-friendly moisturizer I’ve found that’s actually affordable (under $15 for a product like this is insane).
A good moisturizer is always worthwhile since it’s a product that’s gonna be on your skin all. day. long.
6. Hero Cosmetics Lightning Wand ($9.99)
This is another drugstore skincare product which is a hidden gem. I absolutely love Hero Cosmetics as a great drugstore brand for people struggling with acne and hyperpigmentation.
And this product is no exception. Formulated with tranexamic acid, the lightning wand is perfect for rolling away all your acne scars.
7. Hero Cosmetics Pimple Patches ($8.99)
I feel like almost all of us have gotten a pimple patch (if you haven’t, I’m jealous lol ;)). However, if you have, I’d definitely recommend sticking a pimple patch on it. If it’s a whitehead, these patches will do a great job of sucking all the gunk out of them (gross, I know). But also, if it’s a cystic pimple, it’ll stop you from touching it obsessively (also speaking from personal experience here…).
Plus, they’re under $10 – we love great drugstore skincare!
8. Neutrogena Sunscreen ($10.99)
Sunscreen is a part of my holy skincare trinity – cleanser and moisturizer are the other two members, but I digress.
Especially in the climate that we live in, it’s important now more than ever to protect our skin from the Sun! But sunscreen can get expensive and tedious to apply, especially if you’re a person of color dealing with white cast.
But this amazing sunscreen by Neutrogena is a mineral formula that’s acne friendly and does not leave a white cast… it’s also relatively cheap considering other sunscreen brands (looking at you Supergoop) ;).
9. Vaseline Lip Balm ($3.29)
And last but definitely not least, lip balm. This type of product is probably the one I’d recommend going cheap for: less is more when it comes to lip product formulation, so I always love using my trusted Vaseline Lip Therapy!
