I’m sharing my honest opinion about one of the biggest skincare queen’s skincare routine!
By: Anagha S.
I feel like we all know who Hailey Rhode Bieber is: top model, skincare brand owner(she’s releasing her own skincare brand, rhode, sometime in 2021), fashion icon, etc. And, just recently, she launched her very own YouTube channel! One of her very videos was a skincare routine, and I was immediately hooked!
In this blog post, I’m sharing my honest opinion on Hailey Bieber’s skincare routine, and if it’s actually good(this can also serve as a preview for what her skincare brand will be like)!
If you like all things skincare like me(hence my title; skincare junkie), then check out Ana Health Avenue’s other skincare posts on our skincare page!
Let’s get into this review!

1st Step: Face Mask
Hailey starts off with a face mask, saying that she only uses it when she wants extra glow and hydration. Judging by that statement, she most likely has dry skin(complete opposite of me).
I actually like how she starts off her routine with a face mask(before her cleanser). A face mask shouldn’t be left on for too long, so it’s good that she’s doing it first!
SPOILER ALERT: all the products she’s using are in the description box of her video…while they are all on the pricier side, they are good products!
2nd Step: Eye Masks
Next off, she applies some really boujee looking gold eye masks onto her face. This is really efficient since she’s “killing two birds with one stone”.
One cool thing I thought she did was she put the eye masks over the mask she had already applied.
3rd Step: Under Eye Sculpting Bar
Hailey then goes in with a facial tool: a vibrating under eye sculpting bar. I personally really want to get into facial tools like these(especially gua sha: it sounds soooo cool)!
She does it for a minute between both eyes, running it over the eye masks while it vibrates. This will help with depuffing of under eye bags, and overall, it’s very soothing and relaxing!
4th Step: Wash Off the Face Mask & Cleanse
While washing off a mask doesn’t seem like that important of a step, I wanted to point out something Hailey does that seems pretty interesting!
Hailey washes her mask off with a cleanser, and I totally agree.
Washing your mask off with a cleanser ensures there’s no leftovers on your face and leaves a bare canvas for other products!
Now, onto the cleanser.
Hailey mentions that she uses a hydrating and creamy cleanser instead of a foamy one so her skin doesn’t get stripped of moisture. Since she probably has drier skin, it’s best for her to use a hydrating and creamy cleanser.
P.S. Hailey massages her face vigorously while cleansing to help relieve puffiness and tension: this can be crucial if you wake up and your face is swollen!
5th Step: Serum
After washing her face, Hailey leaves her face damp(not soaking wet or completely dry, but damp) to apply her serum.
She goes in with a hydrating peptide serum to which I have to say…YASSSS!
Peptides are such a great ingredient, as well as niacinamide and hyaluronic acid(which she talks about in the video).
A hydrating serum in a smaller quantity can be good to start off the day, especially if you have photo shoots to go to and stuff 🙂 .
6th Step: Moisturizer
The step I was waiting for: moisturizer. Thankfully, she didn’t miss one of the crucial products a skincare routine needs to have.
Hailey does mention that she wouldn’t do this of a long routine on a normal day, but since it’s a “work day”, she’s adding some more steps.
7th Step: Hydrating Oil
I have to commend Hailey for the way she talks about oil in this part of the video. She mentions that she’s careful when she talks about oil because it doesn’t work for everyone. Since she has drier skin, it’s okay for her to use.
However if you have oilier skin(like me), then oil wouldn’t be the best idea. So, I really appreciate how she took time to mention and talk about that(not many celebrities do).
8th Step: Face Massage
Now, one of my favorite parts of the routine: facial massage! Hailey applied the hydrating oil so her facial massage tool(which looks very expensive and kinda wack by the way) can glide over her skin. The tool she uses vibrates like the other one she used, and it seems really cool!
Plus, this tool can help those who clench their teeth/jaw when they sleep!
P.S. Can we talk about how Hailey mentions she gifted this tool to a lot of friends for Christmas? Like, can I be Hailey’s friend please?!
QUICK NOTE: this routine, according to Hailey, takes 15-20 minutes. However, since this is a work routine, she mentions how her 3 priorities every day are cleansing, hydration and Sun protection(we stan that simplistic skincare ideology)!
9th Step: SPF
The most important step of all! If you want to learn more about SPF,then read Ana Health Avenue’s blog post about all things sunscreen!
Hailey and I both agree that you NEED to be wearing SPF outside and inside at all times!
Hailey uses 1 full pump of her sunscreen, then goes in with more if she feels like she needs it.
I do not have the answer to how much sunscreen you need to be wearing, and neither does she. But, 1 full pump seems pretty good!
Another thing she mentions is that she uses a tinted sunscreen. This can give your skin that clear skin effect, as well as a glow and overall even skin tone!
PRO TIP: always apply sunscreen to your neck and eyelids!
My Two Cents
Well, that was probably the best and most informed celebrity skincare routine I’ve watched!
Overall, I think that Hailey has a really solid skincare routine for her skin type! Take what you want from her routine that works for you!
Personally, I really want to try out some facial tools(the under eye sculpting one and gua sha sound cool), as well as her sunscreen(Elta MD, a cult favorite).
Overall, I really enjoyed her routine and I’m so happy she made a YouTube channel to share her skincare knowledge with us(if you can’t tell, I’m really excited for her skincare brand, rhode, to launch)!
