21 Christmas Makeup Ideas:
1. A Classic Red Lip
Â
When in doubt, a red lip will never disappoint, especially for the holiday season. Using a bright red or burgundy lipstick to complete your makeup look instantly takes it to the next level!
2. Christmas Colors
Â
Who doesn’t love classic Christmas colors such as red, green, and gold? Use these colors in your makeup look to add extra holiday cheer!
I personally think green eyeshadow, gold highlight, and red lipstick creates the perfect holiday makeup look!
3. Snow Princess
Â
This is definitely a cooler tone vibe for Christmas makeup, but it’s still so gorgeous. Using colors such as blue, white, and silver will help you achieve this look. I’d personally use silver highlight and blue/silver eyeshadow to truly embody a snow princess!
4. Glitter On Glitter
Â
I absolutely love glitter and think there’s no better time to use it than the holidays! Use glittery eyeshadow, highlighter, and lip products to add the shine to your Christmas makeup look.
5. Natural Glam
Â
You can never go wrong with natural glam! Natural glam involves using neutral colors that truly highlight and accentuate your beauty!
It’s a very chill but still fancy makeup look that is perfect for any holiday gathering.
6. Old Hollywood
Â
I love a good old Hollywood makeup look (cat eye, red lip, bold lashes, etc) and Christmas is one of the best times to do it. When doing this makeup look, emphasize lipstick and eyeliner for the truly classic look.
7. A Neon Christmas
Â
This is a fun twist on traditional Christmas makeup which will wow anyone who sees you! I love using neon colors in my eye makeup look. Using a neon green is trendy yet still keeping in mind the Christmas spirit 🙂
8. Blushing From The Cold
Â
This is such a “that girl” makeup look, and I truly think anyone can pull it off. Layer up your blush (preferably a pinker one to mimic the effects of the cold) on the apples and higher points of your cheeks! Add a touch of blush to the tip of your nose for that extra effect.
9. Festive Decals
Â
Whether you use actual stickers or paint it on yourself, designs can really uplevel a makeup look! I personally love snowflake decals and think applying them around the eyes can be super chic!
10. The Cat Eye
Â
The classic cat eye. You can achieve this look either with actual eyeliner or with eyeshadow and a makeup brush. To make this look more festive, do your eyeliner in a burgundy color!
11. Glitter Eyeliner
Â
This combines two of my favorite Christmas makeup ideas: eyeliner and glitter. Either apply your wing using a glitter eyeliner or glitter eyeshadow (gold would be my recommendation).
You can also add glitter eyeliner to accent a cat eye you’ve already applied in black liner: this makes your makeup look more sophisticated and put together!
12. Lash Extravaganza
Â
False lashes are such a simple way to add some pizazz to a makeup look: for a Christmas makeup look, I’d recommend using wispy, fuller lashes to accentuate the eyes!
13. Glittering In Gold
Â
I absolutely love gold makeup, and if it suits your undertones, I recommend incorporating it into your Christmas makeup look! You can use gold eyeshadow, highlighter, and even lip gloss with gold glitter in it to truly shine for the holidays 🙂
14. Silver Snow
Â
I know gold isn’t the vibe for everyone, so I wanted to include a silvery makeup look idea for you guys! Use products with silver tones (eyeshadow, highlighter, and lip gloss) to truly get that silvery snow look!
15. Monochromatic Vibes
Monochromatic makeup always looks so sleek and put together. I love a beautiful burgundy monochromatic makeup look like the one pictured above for a classy Christmas makeup idea!
16. A Smoky Christmas
Â
Doing a smoky eye is a solid option for Christmas makeup. If you have brown eyes, this is a great way to accentuate them!
17. Sugarplum Fairy
Â
I think a sugarplum makeup look (using plum, purple, and magenta makeup colors) is such a cute Christmas makeup idea! Use plum/pinkish colored eyeshadow, blush, and lipstick to embody a sugarplum fairy 🙂
18. Champagne To Celebrate
Â
This is a classic makeup look that works for any occasion, but I especially love it for the holidays! It is so easy to do and looks so amazing.
19. A Colorful Christmas
Â
I know when people think of Christmas makeup ideas, they think of more traditional Christmas colors and glitter. However, I love flipping the script and doing makeup looks that people wouldn’t expect.
That’s why this Christmas makeup idea is all about using whatever colors you want, whether they match your outfit or are just colors you like.
20. Highlighter Goals
Â
This is a staple makeup idea which looks stunning on everyone. Find a highlighter that truly complements you and have fun!
21. The Holiday Glow
Â
Last but not least, the “holiday glow” makeup look. This makeup look consists of:
- a fresh, glowy base
- burgundy/red lipstick
- highlighter!
- eyeliner
- defined brows
- blush 🙂
This is one of my favorite makeup looks because it just screams Christmas to me. I love the holiday season and I hope these makeup ideas help you decide what makeup you want to do for the holidays!!
