Over the past couple years of starting this blog and continuing to become even more obsessed with skincare, I’ve come across many products which have achieved “go to skincare” status. Because these products are so good, I wanted to share them with you guys!
That’s why in this blog post, I’m sharing my go to skincare products for clear and glowing skin. Trust me, there’s a product in this list for everyone to add to your routine. After this post, you’ll have a bunch of good skincare recommendations to check out!

Go To Skincare Products:
1. Bioderma Micellar Water
First off, let’s start off with one of the most important steps in your skincare routine: cleansing. I personally love to double cleanse, so I like to start off with a micellar water. This one by Bioderma is great for removing makeup as well as getting removing all the sweat/grime from the day.
2. Reusable Cotton Pads
This product is super environmentally friendly: reusable cotton pads! Once I started using micellar water regularly, I decided I wanted to find a more sustainable way of using it, rather than running through disposable cotton rounds. This is also a more cost-efficient option because these reusable cotton pads last a really long time!
So, if you use any products that can be applied with a cotton pad like micellar water, toner, etc., then definitely check this out!
3. Aveeno Cleanser
I love Aveeno. If you have sensitive skin, Aveeno could be the brand for you! This cleanser is the one I specifically use as the second step in my double cleanse routine. I love that the formulation includes oats which help soothe your skin.
On top of that, this product is super accessible/affordable!
4. Dermalogica Rice Exfoliant
This is a newer product that I found and absolutely love. I especially recommend this product for people with discoloration/uneven skin tone and/or oily skin.
While this is a physical exfoliant, because you combine it with water and it consists of ground rice particles, it’s super gentle on the skin! One negative thing I’ll say about this product is that the smell isn’t that great, but it’s still a safe and effective way to exfoliate your skin without irritating it. My skincare routine isn’t the same without it!
5. Paula’s Choice ExfoliantÂ
I feel like everyone in the skincare world has heard of this product at some point or another. I love this product because it’s a great way to chemically exfoliate your skin. With 2% BHA, it’s a surefire solution to evening out discoloration.
However, it’s a pretty strong product, so I’d recommend when starting out to only use it once a week at night. Then, if your skin can handle that, start using it more frequently, with maximum usage being every other night.
Also, when using an exfoliant, your skin’s sensitivity can increase, so be sure to always wear sunscreen!
6. The Ordinary Niacinamide Serum
This one is for my oily gals. Niacinamide is a great ingredient to help with oily skin and acne, so a serum like this could really help those skin concerns.
Plus, The Ordinary is a great brand to buy skincare products targeted towards specific issues from (this product is also super cheap)!!
7. Differin Adapalene Gel
If you struggle with acne, this product is for you. I love this product because it really helped me clear up my cystic acne. This acne treatment gel works best when applied a couple times a week at night.
Like the Paula’s Choice exfoliant, this retinol-based product can also increase Sun sensitivity, so be sure to protect your skin with SPF!
8. Hero Cosmetics Prebiotic Moisturizer
This is probably my favorite moisturizer of all time. Let me tell you why:
- it’s affordable (something important to consider when buying skincare)
- no fragrance!
- perfect moisturizer for people with acne-prone and/or oily skin (all skin types can benefit from it though)
- provides hydration without clogging your pores
This is one of my go to skincare products that I can’t live without.
9. Hero Cosmetics Lightning Wand
As someone who struggled with a lot of cystic acne, I can attest to the fact that it left behind a lot of hyperpigmentation. To help it fade faster, I love using my Hero Cosmetics Lightning Wand. Formulated with ingredients like tranexamic acid and niacinamide, this product is perfect for resurfacing your skin, brightening dark spots, and reducing their overall appearance.
10. Hero Cosmetics Pimple Patches
This is another Hero product that I love. Pimple patches can get kinda expensive, and that’s why I love these patches: they’re pretty affordable!
This product is perfect for people who struggle with whiteheads because it sucks all the gunk out from your pimples (gross but satisfying at the same time lol).
11. Innisfree Sunscreen
SPF is so so important (it helps protect your skin from sun damage and minimizes your risk of skin cancer), and that’s why I searched for years to find the perfect sunscreen. Behold the Innisfree sunscreen, which is amazing for so many reasons:
- it provides ample UV protection
- it does not leave a white cast
- the finish is not too oily and it feels super lightweight on the skin
Trust me, this sunscreen is amazing for all skin types!
12. Vaseline Lip Therapy
Lip care is just as important as face skincare. I love the Vaseline lip product because it’s a super nourishing formula and is dirt cheap.
I also love the streamlined applicator that it comes in!
13. Tree Hut Shea Scrub
This is another product that I have not specifically included for face skincare: it’s for your body (as are the two products left after this one)!
I absolutely love the way this feel on the skin. This scrub has gentle but still tough sugar particles that help exfoliate your skin (plus the rose essence in this helps soothe your skin and smells amazing) đ
14. Aveeno Shaving Gel
This product is for my shaving girlies. I love this shave gel because it helps minimize irritation during and after shaving.
Plus, this Aveeno formula has no harsh ingredients and helps soothe your skin!
15. Dove Love Body Lotion
Finally, we have this simple but hydrating moisturizer from Dove. While the mango scent is a big reason I love it lol, at the end of the day, the lightweight feel and solid ingredient list makes this a go to skincare product of mine.
