Seriously, this cleanser is sooooo good for breakouts and pimples.
By: Anagha S.
I’ve struggled with breakouts for a while and have tested out multiple cleansers in order to look for the perfect one: something that was effective, not drying, affordable(trust me, that’s a big one). But, I haven’t been able to find one…
Until now.
In this blog post, I’m sharing the 1 cleanser that has actually taken care of my acne. If you like blog posts like these, be sure to subscribe to Ana Health Avenue and follow me on Pinterest!
Drumroll Please…
The amazing cleanser I’m talking about is the Cerave Foaming Facial Cleanser for Normal to Oily Skin!!! For $10, you get 12 mL of a non-comedogenic formula(it won’t clog your pores) that is also gentle and not drying.
This cleanser is best for normal, oily, or combo skin. Even people with acne prone skin(like moi) can benefit from this product.
My Experience
I’ve been using this cleanser for almost two months now, and I have to say that I notice a big difference in my skin. I have combo leaning oily skin, which means that it’s hard to find a cleanser that controls my skin’s oil production without drying it out.
This cleanser is affordable(I mean $10 is a great price for a product of this quality) and accessible(I found this in different sizes at my local Target). It has really helped my skin with it’s oil production and I’ve noticed lesser breakouts on my cheeks and nose!
One thing I do have to say is that this cleanser can be a bit drying(especially if you have combo skin). I recommend following up with a hydrating moisturizer to ensure that your skin is not stripped of needed moisture.
Why You Should Buy This Cleanser
Skincare is not a one size fits all journey. It often takes a lot of trial and error to find that perfect routine.

Even as I’m writing this, I know that down the line(possibly even this year), my recommendation for the ultimate cleanser for acne prone/oily skin might change(new launches like rhode and Selfless are definitely on my radar).
However, this cleanser is seriously amazing for multiple reasons:
- it has 3 essential ceramides
- it has ingredients like niacinamide and glycerin that help calm and hydrate the skin
- it’s non-comedogenic – it won’t clog your pores
- it’s phthalate, aluminum and dye free
- it is only $10 dollars!
- it has basically a 5 star rating on the Target website(and trust me, Target shoppers never lie)
My Two Cents
