ME!
Welcome to Ana Health Avenue’s 25th blog post! Today, I’m sharing the absolute cutest spring makeup look for 2021!

Primer
Trust me, primer is one of the most important makeup steps…it creates an even canvas for your makeup while also making sure it lasts!
Concealer
You probably noticed I haven’t listed foundation here?
That’s because I don’t think foundation is the best choice for a spring makeup look: the whole point is to appear effortless and glowy, which a foundation doesn’t always provide.
Instead, just use concealer(preferably two: one that’s your shade and one lighter for your eyes) to touch up any areas that need it!
Powder
Now, you need to set up all that face makeup you put so much blending into! I highly recommend just dusting it on with a big fluffy brush instead of baking with a sponge…that way you won’t look cakey!
Contour
Just because we’re going for a soft spring pastel makeup look doesn’t mean we can’t be snatched at the same time!
Going for an everyday natural contour can give you some extra definition in your face!
Blush
Blush should be one of focal points of your spring makeup look!
I highly recommend going for a cream blush because it gives that “blushing from within” look, which looks super natural and pretty!
Highlighter
This should be another focal point of your makeup! I highly recommend going a bit stronger with the highlighter on the cheekbones, browbones, tip of your nose, and your cupid’s bow!
You’ll look like a glowing queen!
Eyeshadow
This is my favorite part of the makeup look! One thing I love to do with spring makeup eyeshadow(and spring makeup overall) is theme it! So, for example, if I’m wearing a pink outfit that day, I’ll make my eyeshadow pastel/glittery pink!
My go-to spring makeup eyeshadow is pastel on the lid, with shine in the inner corner(along with light definition of my eye contour)!
Eyebrows
Since we’re going a bit stronger with the eyeshadow and highlight, brows can take a backseat. If you have fuller brows(like me), then you can just shape them and light sharpen them. If you have sparse brows, then do the same, but also fill them in.
Overall, it should just look really natural, so take your time! I often find that brows can take up most of my routine. 🙂
Mascara/False Lashes
Now to finish off the eye makeup! Go strong with the lashes: it’ll give you more of that goddess look(which is what we want to look like: a glowing goddess)! First curl your lashes, then apply a TON of mascara!
If you want to be even more extra(for example if you want to go out at night), then you can add some nice & wispy false lashes!
Ambient Powder
I absolutely love ambient powder: it gives a certain “wow factor” to the skin and makes it look flawless!
Since we’re going for a glowing goddess makeup look, I highly suggest you add some ambient powder to your face for that extra *shine*.
Lipstick
Ahhh yes, I could never forget about lipstick! Colors that work best for spring:
- hot pink
- mauve
- pastel pink
- fuschia
- baby pink
- nude
- beige going on clear
- burnt pink
- coral
Obviously, I know way too many shades of pink and beige. For spring, a simple neutral lip will be perfect!
Lip Gloss
To go with the glowing goddess aesthetic, we just had to have lip gloss! Apply it over your lipstick for some shine!
PRO TIP: When choosing a lip gloss, go bold and buy one with micro-glitters in it-they reflect light really nicely and make your lips look soooo good!
ANOTHER PRO TIP: Be a little extra and try out a plumping lip gloss-it can make your lips more full and makes for a super cute Insta photo!
Setting Spray
Last, but definitely not least: setting spray! Add even more glow to your look with a dewy/hydrating setting spray!
